God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen: Christmas Carol Printable

I was speaking with my mother last night and she told me about how she broke down crying at a telemarketer who wanted her to pledge money to save sick children, or what have you, because she didn't have the money to pledge. We both giggle at this wholeheartedly because we are crybabies of the worst kind, and we are constantly making people feel horribly awkward.

This is exactly what I look like when people ask me about my days in Junior High.

But she said this has been her best Christmas season because of not having extra money around; no lists, no pressure, no stress filled trips to the mall. Just a season of enjoying snow and family, and Christmas movies in her spare time.
This is Christmas Bliss.

My non-existent gift budget and I could learn a lesson from my mother's attitude.

In that vein, here's another free printable, in 4 colors! :)

Okay, I realize this is kind of a cop-out printable because I already made one a lot like it a few posts back with a lovely quote, but I love this song, and particularly the first verse at a time like Christmas when we seem so hurried and worried.

God rest ye merry, gentlemen
let nothing you dismay.
Remember, Christ, our saviour
was born on Christmas Day
To save us all from Satan's power
when we were gone astray
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy,
comfort and joy
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy.

I wish you comfort and joy this season, and maybe the ability to love a small budget too :)

***If that telemarketer happens to be one of the two readers of this blog, I urge you to not quit your job- there are very few people in this world like me and my mother. You're safe from here on out.

  1. OK. Mom said I had to visit your website. Nothing to see here for a guy. Maybe you can work with Jarod to create a football blog. Now that I could get into. But keep up the good work - just too much estrogen in this blog for me. Love, Dad.

  2. Haha. Maybe I can make printables with sports quotes. But I warn you; they're still gonna be girly. I can't change who I am :) - mir
