Now we have a cautionary tale to share with you. You may be told that expensive transfer paper is worth the cost. You may be told that Junior High students use it with great aplomb. But you may still find that they cause your pillow making to FAIL. Our advice to you is this: if you are ever betrayed by transfer paper...
SHARPIE Your Pillows!!!!
That's right, she made these gorgeous pillows with a sharpie. She also backed them in black and white fabric, which just makes them more fun :) Now, if you are like me and you lack the steady hand and skill of my dear older sister, there are still options out there- I know there are similar pillows available on Dearlillie and ModernVintageMarket, but if you are crafty, why not take a crack at it- you never know if you might be a pillow making genius like my big sis :)
** To answer some questions; she got the graphic for these from an Etsy Shop named Graphique, and it costs $1.00. Not too shabby! And then she just traced it on.
You can print directly onto your fabric using freezer paper as a backer if you use a bubble jet printer, but you are constrained to 8 1/2 X 11 sizing, so this is a great option for anything larger :)
